Our Perspectives on Corporate Social Responsibility and Commitments

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the responsibility of a business to protect the rights and interests of shareholders and employees, implement supplier management, and ensure the rights of customers, aiming to improve its positive impacts on the entire society and the environment. From participation in community activities and financial reporting transparency & honesty to responsible stakeholder communication, this is the new international perspective of CSR that encourages industrial development and the overall improvement of society while pursuing a growing business.

In recent years, Amazing Microelectronic Corp. has proactively fulfilled its CSR to form a cohesive core value and business culture. By developing a CSR strategy, we carry it out gradually to strictly implement corporate governance, supporting employee well-being, environmental protection, and social welfare. With this strategic and long-term approach, we expect to practice social responsibilities, improve key performance indicators, achieve employee, shareholder, customer & supplier satisfaction, and enhance the value of sustainable operations. In line with government policies and creating the strategic direction and development blueprint for ESG long-term framework, we are determined to implement ESG strategies in our business operations to respond to the current trends in the international economy, environments, social new development, and high-tech technology, as well as engage in social responsibility. By promoting overall social welfare through law-abiding behaviors, environmental protection, quality enhancement, and contributing to society for the common good of both the enterprise and society, we can gain all stakeholders’ recognition and achieve sustainable enterprise development.

In 2021, the Sustainability Promotion Group was created by Amazing Microelectronic Corp. as a dedicated unit for sustainable development. Convened by the chairman, the Sustainability Promotion Group consists of five teams, including Corporate Governance, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Protection, Workplace Wellness, and Social Prosperity, to integrate sustainability into our business strategies, dedicating and moving towards it in a purposeful, systematic, and organized manner.

In 2023, the following sustainability issues were reported to the Board of Directors on March 23, May 8, August 7, November 7, and December 14:
(1) Amended preparation of the Sustainability Report and verification procedure
(2) Net-Zero Sustainability Target and Pathway Planning Report: A progress report on the GHG inventory and status verification in the headquarters and global offices.
In addition to the quarterly status report on sustainable development and promotion to the Board of Directors every quarter, the Board also oversees the operations and urges the company to make adjustments to its strategies when necessary.

    With the goals of environmental sustainability and sustainable operations, the team creates suitable topics related to environmental sustainability to promote environmental protection, energy saving & carbon reduction, and ecological sustainability and leverage the crucial influence as a corporate citizen.

    Description

    Execute the supplier management based on the three pillars of ESG in accordance with the principles of Supply Chain Sustainability Management. From new supplier selection to regular key supplier audits and evaluation, ESG issues are always included in the assessment. If suppliers are unable to meet the requirements, we will provide timely advice and assistance.

    Description

    Implement employee training and well-being support and provide a corporate system for employee career development. Achieve commitment and responsibility for human rights, establish a human rights due diligence program, enhance human rights awareness among employees and partners, and comply with relevant labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance with international principles on human rights.
